CBD oil for pets: what it is and where to buy it in Sydney

4 June 2026

Pet CBD oil in Sydney: hemp-derived, THC-free, formulated for animals. Distinct from human CBD oil. Lab-tested, from $179.90 AUD, ships to NSW.

CBD oil for pets sold online in Sydney should confirm one thing before anything else: THC-free, confirmed by a Certificate of Analysis. That single document — the batch COA — is the definitive check that no detectable THC is present in the formulation your animal will receive. It is the first thing a research-driven buyer in Sydney should ask for, and it is the first thing CBD Oil Sydney supplies when you email us with a batch code. Everything else about CBD oil for dogs and other companion animals follows from that verification step.

Pet CBD oil in Sydney — THC-free confirmed by COA, hemp-derived, MCT carrier, 2000mg, from CBD Oil Sydney

This page describes what is in our CBD oil for pets — the cannabinoid, carrier, spectrum, and THC status — and explains how to read the label. It also covers how it differs from our human-range oils, whether it covers cats as well as dogs, and what the regulatory landscape looks like in NSW. This is not veterinary advice, and we do not state or imply anything about what this product does for an animal.

Why the COA matters most for pet CBD oil

The Certificate of Analysis is a batch-specific report from an independent third-party laboratory. It lists the actual measured cannabinoid concentrations in a given production batch — not an estimated figure from the manufacturer, but a verified number from an external lab. For pet CBD oil, the most important line on that report is the THC reading.

Animals — dogs and cats in particular — are more sensitive to THC than adult humans. A product that carries even a trace of THC under a label that does not declare it would be a formulation error. Our pet CBD oil 2000mg is formulated to a THC-free specification, and each batch COA confirms this with a measured figure of 0% THC. "THC-free" on the label is a claim; the COA is the evidence. If a product does not have one, "THC-free" means nothing.

To get the Certificate of Analysis for your batch, email [email protected] with the batch code printed on your bottle. The matching report comes back by return. Our how to use guide explains how to locate the batch number on the label and what the lab results cover in detail.

This COA-first approach distinguishes our CBD oil for pets from loose claims made on some product pages online. Every batch we dispatch to Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Bondi, Chatswood and across NSW has a corresponding third-party report available.

What is CBD oil for pets?

CBD oil for pets — including CBD oil for dogs and cats — is a hemp-derived cannabidiol oil formulated specifically for animals, not the same product as the human-range oils we sell. It is built to a pet-appropriate concentration and uses a carrier oil suitable for animal use.

The compound at the centre is cannabidiol, abbreviated CBD. It is extracted from Cannabis sativa L. — the low-THC variety of the cannabis plant grown commercially as hemp — and dissolved into a carrier. Our pet formulation uses MCT (medium-chain triglycerides, coconut-derived) as that carrier. Two ingredients: a hemp extract and an oil. Nothing else of note, and no additives or flavourings that are harmful to dogs or cats.

The "hemp-derived" description matters because it specifies the source plant. Hemp is Cannabis sativa L. bred and cultivated to stay below the THC threshold set by regulation. The CBD produced from hemp is the same molecule as the cannabidiol in any other extraction, but the plant it comes from is low-THC by design. For a pet CBD oil, the product goes one step further: it is formulated to 0% THC, not merely "low THC". The COA for each batch confirms this.

The label on a pet-formulated oil will read differently from a human CBD oil in two respects: the CBD concentration per millilitre is calibrated for animals rather than an adult human body, and the serving guidance is stated in terms of animal weight rather than adult human body weight.

Human CBD oil vs pet CBD oil: what the numbers mean

Our CBD oil for pets is a 2000mg formulation in a 50ml bottle. That works out to 40mg of cannabidiol per millilitre — double the concentration of our entry-level human oil. A research-savvy buyer in Sydney looking at that figure and expecting a "lower strength" version for animals will notice it and wonder why. The answer is in how the serving is measured.

Our standard human-range oils start at 1000mg full-spectrum CBD oil20mg per ml in the same 50ml format. That oil is priced at $89.95 and formulated for an adult human. The human range then scales upward: 3000mg, 6000mg, and 12000mg options are available, all in 50ml bottles.

The pet oil at 2000mg (40mg per ml) is not a human dose per serving — the label specifies an animal-appropriate quantity based on the pet's weight. A small dog or cat receives a fractional serving compared to what an adult human would take from any of our human-range oils. The higher mg-per-ml figure compensates for the smaller volume dispensed in a single animal serving. Read the label's guidance on quantity per serving: that number, not the total bottle strength, is what governs how much an animal receives.

The second distinction is THC status. Our full-spectrum human oils retain a legal trace of THC under 0.3% — that is part of the whole-plant composition. The pet oil carries no THC at all. The two product lines are not interchangeable. Do not use a human CBD oil as a substitute for the pet-formulated version, and do not use pet CBD oil in place of a human oil.

Compare the human-range spectrums on the CBD Oil Sydney products page and the full-spectrum CBD oil guide and broad-spectrum CBD oil page for the composition detail on each.

Does this cover cats as well as dogs?

Yes. Our pet CBD oil 2000mg is formulated for companion animals generally — it is not restricted to dogs. Dogs, cats, and other small-to-medium companion animals where appropriate are covered by one product and one label.

The formulation is the same for dogs and cats: hemp-derived CBD, MCT carrier, THC-free, 2000mg in 50ml. The serving consideration differs because cats are typically smaller than most dogs. Read the label's per-serving guidance in terms of the individual animal's weight; the label does not distinguish between species.

We stock one pet CBD oil SKU — there is no separate cat formulation and no separate dog formulation. The one oil covers the category. We make no claims about what this product does for any species. It is described here, and on its label, as a formulated composition product for animal use.

Reading the label: the maths that matter

A CBD oil for pets label in Sydney or anywhere in NSW should carry four things you can verify before opening the bottle.

Total CBD in mg and volume in mL. Divide the first by the second for the concentration. Ours is 2000 ÷ 50 = 40mg/mL. That number is your comparison point between any two pet CBD oils.

THC status, COA-confirmed. "THC-free" printed on a label is a claim. The COA is the evidence. Match the batch number on your bottle to the third-party lab report. Our batch COA is available from [email protected]; the report will show the THC figure as 0% or below the limit of detection. If a supplier cannot produce a COA for the batch in your hands, that claim is unverifiable.

Carrier oil. Ours is MCT (coconut-derived). Some pet CBD oils use hemp seed oil or other carriers — neither is inherently wrong, but the label should name it. MCT is generally considered well-tolerated by dogs and cats.

Spectrum declaration. "Full-spectrum, THC-free" is our label descriptor — it means a whole-plant hemp extract that has been processed to remove detectable THC. It is not a broad-spectrum oil (broad-spectrum implies the minor cannabinoids are retained via a different process); it is a full-spectrum extract confirmed THC-free at batch level.

Never exceed the serving quantity stated on the label for your animal's weight. Consult a registered veterinarian before giving your pet any supplement, including this one.

Pet CBD oil and the law in NSW

CBD oil for animals in NSW sits within Australia's national regulatory framework. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) governs cannabidiol products in Australia; the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has separate jurisdiction over products used in animals. Our pet CBD oil is sold as a composition product — described by what it contains, not by any claim about what it does — and is not a prescription veterinary medicine.

The TGA's rules on CBD products apply Australia-wide, including in NSW. We describe our oils in line with those rules, making no therapeutic or health claims. For advice on the regulatory status of a CBD product in relation to your specific animal or circumstances, the right contact is a registered veterinarian in NSW or the APVMA directly.

Our pet oil is dispatched from within Australia and ships to Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Bondi, Chatswood and across NSW and beyond. It is sold to adults 18 and over; not for use by anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

Buying pet CBD oil in Sydney

CBD Oil Sydney is an online-only store. The pet CBD oil 2000mg is stocked year-round and dispatches to Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Bondi, Chatswood and the wider NSW region. There is no counter to visit; the order goes in online and the bottle arrives by post.

If you are comparing CBD oil for dogs or cats before ordering, ask the supplier for the batch COA before you buy. Look for the four label points above: mg total, concentration per mL, THC status with a lab-confirmed figure, and carrier oil. Any reputable supplier can produce that documentation on request.

Frequently asked questions about pet CBD oil in Sydney

Is your pet CBD oil really THC-free? Yes. The CBD Oil Sydney pet CBD oil 2000mg is formulated to a THC-free specification, and the batch Certificate of Analysis confirms 0% THC for every production run. This distinguishes it from our full-spectrum human oils, which carry a legal trace of THC under 0.3%. Email [email protected] with the batch code on your bottle and we will send the matching COA.

Why is the pet oil 2000mg when your starter human oil is 1000mg? The concentration is higher because the serving volume is smaller. Animal servings are measured by body weight and are a fraction of an adult human serving. The label's per-serving guidance accounts for this; read it rather than comparing the mg figure in isolation against a human product.

Can I use a human CBD oil for my dog instead? No. Human full-spectrum oils carry a THC trace under 0.3%; that is part of the formulation. The pet oil is formulated to 0% THC. The two products are not interchangeable, and the pet formulation is the correct choice for animals.

Does this cover cats? Yes — our one pet CBD oil SKU covers dogs, cats, and other small companion animals. There is no separate cat product. Adjust the serving for the animal's weight as the label directs.

Where do you deliver in Sydney? We dispatch to Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Bondi, Chatswood, and Australia-wide. See the full range on our products page and the guide to using CBD oil for label-reading detail.

Is pet CBD oil legal in NSW? Australia regulates cannabidiol products nationally; the TGA and APVMA both have oversight depending on the product type. We sell our pet oil as a composition product and make no health claims. For regulatory advice specific to your animal, consult a registered veterinarian in NSW or the APVMA.
