Broad-spectrum CBD oil sits in the middle of a three-option product map — between a whole-plant full-spectrum oil that keeps a trace of THC and a single-cannabinoid isolate that contains nothing else. It is a hemp extract carrying CBD, the minor cannabinoids, and the natural terpenes, from which the THC has been selectively removed, leaving the batch at 0% THC. CBD Oil Sydney ships this oil to Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Bondi, Chatswood and across NSW.

This page describes a product type, not a course of action. CBD Oil Sydney writes about every oil in terms of what is in it — cannabinoids, carrier, spectrum, THC reading — never what it might do. Here is the composition case for broad-spectrum, where it sits against the alternatives, what our bottles contain, and what the NSW rules say.
The three-option spectrum map
The simplest way to understand broad-spectrum CBD oil is to place it on the line that runs from the fullest hemp profile to the simplest. Every cannabidiol product fits one of three positions:
| Option | What it contains | THC reading |
|---|---|---|
| Full-spectrum | Whole-plant hemp: CBD + minor cannabinoids + terpenes + trace THC | Under 0.3% |
| Broad-spectrum | Same whole-plant extract, THC removed in an extra processing step | 0% THC |
| Isolate | One cannabinoid only — everything else stripped out | 0% THC |
Broad-spectrum occupies the middle column: it keeps the wider cannabinoid profile that a full plant provides, while the THC has been taken out. That single processing step — selective THC removal — is the only structural difference between a full-spectrum and a broad-spectrum oil. Neither is a "stronger" or "better" product; they differ only in composition.
The shop page lists every variant side by side so Sydney buyers can compare the complete range in one view.
What "broad" means in practice: the cannabinoid profile beyond CBD
When a label says broad-spectrum, it is describing what remains after the THC removal step — not just CBD on its own, but the collection of naturally occurring cannabinoids in the hemp plant. Alongside cannabidiol (CBD) itself, the extract holds the minor cannabinoids the plant produces as it matures.
Two of those minor cannabinoids — cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN) — are also sold as standalone oils in our range. CBG oil is cannabigerol, the compound the plant synthesises first and converts into the others as it develops; CBN oil is cannabinol, a separate cannabinoid supplied as a THC-free isolate. In a broad-spectrum extract both of these appear at the levels the plant naturally produced, alongside terpenes and the other compounds drawn from the aerial parts of Cannabis sativa L.
The result is a more complex cannabinoid profile than an isolate provides, without the THC component that a full-spectrum oil retains. A Sydney buyer who wants that broader hemp make-up but has a personal or workplace reason to avoid any THC is the core audience for this product.
The THC removal step: what gets taken out
The defining process in broad-spectrum production is targeted THC removal. A whole-plant hemp extract starts with the same cannabinoid profile as a full-spectrum oil. It is then taken back through a secondary refinement — typically chromatography — that isolates and strips out the tetrahydrocannabinol while leaving the CBD, the minor cannabinoids, and the terpenes in the solution.
The practical result: each finished batch reads 0% THC on its Certificate of Analysis. That is the number to look for on a COA before buying any oil described as broad-spectrum from any retailer. If a COA is not available or does not show the THC result explicitly, the label claim cannot be independently verified.
Our batches are third-party lab-tested by batch. Email [email protected] with the batch code from your bottle and we will return the matching COA for that specific production run.
Our broad-spectrum CBD oil: SKUs and per-mL figures
CBD Oil Sydney carries the broad-spectrum line in three strengths, all in a 50ml bottle with a 0.5ml dropper. Each bottle yields approximately 100 servings. The only carrier is MCT oil — medium-chain triglycerides, coconut-derived — and the formula is organic, non-GMO, and alcohol-free.
| Strength | Total cannabinoid content | Per-mL figure | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1000mg | 1,000mg in 50ml | 20mg / ml | $89.95 |
| 3000mg | 3,000mg in 50ml | 60mg / ml | — |
| 6000mg | 6,000mg in 50ml | 120mg / ml | — |
The milligram figure printed on the label is simply the total cannabinoid content of the bottle — not a serving size or a dose recommendation. To convert it to a per-millilitre figure, divide the total by the bottle volume: 1000mg ÷ 50ml = 20mg per ml. Our how to use guide walks through drawing a measured 0.5ml serving into the dropper once your Sydney order arrives.
All oils are imported from EU Labs in Amsterdam, THC-free, and priced in AUD. The complete family — including the full-spectrum CBD oil and CBG and CBN single-cannabinoid options — is on the products page.

From our CBD oil range

6000mg CBG Oil — Cannabigerol
Cannabigerol at higher strength. CBG is the parent compound and the least abundant cannabinoid the hemp plant makes. Full-spectrum, trace THC. 6000mg in 50ml MCT, 120mg per ml.

2000mg Pet CBD Oil — Full Spectrum
Pet-formulated CBD from the same hemp source as our human range, on a neutral MCT carrier with no human-targeted flavours or sweeteners. 2000mg in 50ml, 40mg per ml. Adults 18+; introduce under your vet's guidance.

6000mg CBD Oil — Full Spectrum
Whole-plant hemp at higher strength — the full cannabinoid and terpene profile, with a legal trace of THC under 0.3%. 6000mg of CBD in a 50ml MCT bottle, 120mg per ml.
Label and COA checklist for Sydney buyers
Whether you are looking at our oil or comparing with another supplier, the same five data points settle the key facts before you commit:
- Spectrum declared — the label should say broad-spectrum plainly. "Hemp extract" alone is not enough; the spectrum determines whether THC is present.
- Strength in mg and volume in ml — divide the two to get the per-ml figure. A 50ml bottle with 1000mg is 20mg per ml; a 50ml bottle with 3000mg is 60mg per ml.
- THC result on the COA — the Certificate of Analysis should show a numerical THC result, not just a statement. For broad-spectrum, that result should be 0%.
- Carrier oil named — ours is coconut-derived MCT. Some suppliers use hemp seed oil or olive oil; the carrier affects shelf life and how the oil pours at different temperatures.
- Third-party lab — the COA should come from an independent laboratory, not from the manufacturer's own testing. Batch-level testing is stronger than product-level.
Is broad-spectrum CBD oil legal in NSW?
Hemp-derived CBD oil is available in NSW under the national framework the Therapeutic Goods Administration administers. In February 2021 the TGA re-scheduled low-dose cannabidiol — products supplying up to 150mg per day — from a Schedule 4 prescription-only medicine to a Schedule 3 pharmacist-only medicine, opening the over-the-counter route for appropriately formulated hemp-derived, THC-free oils.
Broad-spectrum oils sold directly, where the THC has been removed, sit within that pharmacist-only category. Higher-strength products and any product containing THC remain Schedule 4, requiring a prescription. The rules are set by the TGA and are subject to change; check the regulator's website for the current scheduling position.
CBD Oil Sydney describes oils by composition only and makes no health claims. Our oils are for adults aged 18 and over and are not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are taking regular medication or are under care for any health condition, speak with your own health professional before starting any new supplement.
Frequently asked questions about broad-spectrum CBD oil in Sydney
What is broad-spectrum CBD oil? A whole-plant hemp extract — CBD plus the other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes — that has been taken through an additional processing step to remove the THC. The finished oil reads 0% THC on its Certificate of Analysis while retaining the broader cannabinoid profile.
How does broad-spectrum differ from full-spectrum? The only structural difference is THC. Full-spectrum CBD oil keeps the complete plant profile including a legal trace of THC under 0.3%; broad-spectrum is the same extract with the THC selectively removed. Both are whole-plant oils; the choice is compositional.
Does broad-spectrum CBD oil show up in a workplace drug test? That is a personal decision that depends on the testing method your employer uses and the sensitivity of the equipment. Our oils read 0% THC on their COA, but we cannot advise on individual drug-testing outcomes. Raise it with your employer or the testing provider directly.
What strength should I choose? Strength is a personal matter. Our how-to-use guide explains how to measure a 0.5ml serving from each bottle strength; the range runs from 1000mg (20mg/ml) to 6000mg (120mg/ml). We describe the oils by what they contain; we do not prescribe a dose.
